Interested in a custom illustration or art piece?
First of all, I feel honoured. I do take custom orders (cause so many people have asked by now), but there are a few things to consider:
– I only take a limited number of custom or illustration jobs. So, if you like to work with me, please ask well in advance whether I have the capacity. I’d hate to turn you down just because I’m fully booked.
– My creativity killer is time pressure. I know that some people really thrive under pressure. Well, I’m certainly not one of them. That means that I generally only work with you if it’s okay for you that the project might take several weeks. Of course, I will discuss the timeframe with you before you order. And yes, often I’m done with the order a lot faster than I expected. I once finished an illustration job that I said would take me about three months in less than two weeks. But that is not the rule and it shouldn’t be expected. To me, it is very important to have the time to also just let the work sit for a few days … cause sometimes that is what it takes to come up with an amazing idea. (At least for me.)
– When doing illustration or custom work I depend a lot on your feedback. In order for you to be truly happy with the end result I will email you during the creation process several times and I will need your feedback in order to proceed with the work. If you are looking for someone who you can give your order to and then hear from them again eight weeks later when they are finished, then I’m definitely not the right person for you.
